Mile High Vaulters
(303) 931-7072

The Mile High Vaulters have vaulting available for all age and ability levels. With few exceptions vaulters practice based on skill and interest rather than the more tradititional athletic divisions of age and gender. This allows vaulting to provide wonderful teamwork and a fun experience for the whole family. Vaulters of many diverse backrounds and ages get to come together to create something amazing. Vaulters often learn just as much from each other and from the opportunity to, "Coach," each other as they do from the coach.

How to Fall Off a Horse Clinic:

One area of vaulter focus is Safe dismounts. Practicing safe dismounts allows vaulters to dismount safely from their horses in any direction and at any speed. Some dismounts (sometimes known as falls) happen unexpectedly. As vaulters have been properly trained for dismounts, these unexpected dismounts are much less likely to cause serious injury and we can even minimize the bruises.

The Mile High Vaulters and head coach Jodi Rinard offer a 3 hour clinic to teach safe dismounting techniques for other equestrian disciplines and other sports. Our clinic starts with a conversation about safety in vaulting. Then we work on the ground, and move to work on the vaulting barrel and finally to our wonderful draft and draft-cross vaulting horses.

Plan to get dirty.
