Welcome to the Mile High Vaulters - Member of the American Vaulting Association since 2002.

Vaulting is the spectacular sport of gymnastics and dance performed on a moving horse and choreographed to music. It is one of the equestrian disciplines recognized by the Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI) for international competition and the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) nationally. As in many other forms of athletic competition (figure skating for example), participants are judged on both a set of compulsory moves, and in freestyle competition. With a history extending back to Roman sports, vaulting requires the teamwork of the vaulter, horse and longeur.

Vaulters may compete as individuals, in pairs, or as a team. Vaulting is a magnificent sport and a wonderful learning opportunity for all ages from toddlers to adults. Vaulters learn balance, coordination, flexibility, strength, confidence, teamwork, and music interpretation. It is one of the few sports worldwide where men and women compete on the same team.

The Mile High Vaulters were founded by Jodi Rinard and her Percheron mare, Peaches, in 2002 when they moved to Colorado. Jodi is a silver medal vaulter and has been coaching and competing as a member of the AVA since 1987. Peaches received AVA horse number "1" when the AVA first assigned numbers and proudly carried it until she passed away in 2005. The AVA agreed to transfer that number to Peaches' only foal, Amidala, who vaults with us today.

Therapeutic vaulting is the wonderful sport of vaulting, adapted to help people with various physical, emotional, and cognitive challenges achieve their potential.  With the help of the well-trained and consistent horses at Atlantis Farm, therapeutic vaulting classes help develop balance, coordination, confidence, muscle tone, memory, and much more!
The therapeutic vaulting classes offered at Atlantis Farm are for children and young adults who would like to work on confidence issues, physical challenges, and cognitive challenges.  Participants must be self ambulatory and under 175 lbs.
